BLADE is an organization that helps individuals find avenues to enhance their skills or develop new ones, therefore becoming more productive - and more promotable employees. BLADE offers leadership opportunities that puts you in charge of your career. By becoming an active member and joining one or more committees you will gain the understanding and know-how-to ability  in establishing and leading teams to work on various projects. 

Under new management the Leadership Club went through a rebranding process to revitalize and capture the entrepreneur spirit of Bell employees. The club is now known as BLADE. We have made great strides in the areas of concern: in the month of July 116 training hours were achieved. The courses focus on continuous leadership skills and style improvements.  Our BLADE president had an opportunity to speak at 2007 Fly to Win where over 300 internal Bell managers, directors, and executives were reintroduced to the association. We have reenergized management to participate in our events. 

Remember, being a member of an association does not guarantee victory, it is a bridge, an overpass to assist one in reaching their goals. You are still the owner of your career and to become successful means to perform and while in your current position. BLADE will help you become more promotable not promoted, through your participation in one of our committees.

To Join;

• Fill out the BLADE membership application and e-mail it to Tamiko W. Bailey
• Fill out and submit the payroll deduction form by following the provided steps
1. Go To ERIC
2. Select ‘Career and Benefits’
3. On the left, under My Textron Benefits, Select ‘Visit the My Benefits Site’
4. At the top tabs, Select ‘Human Resources Forms’
5. Click on ‘Pay Forms’ on the left to bring up additional forms
6. Select ‘General Deduction Form

• Type ‘Employee ID No.’ It is a Textron ID not a Bell ID
  
  Note ID has to be 10 digits Textron ID. For employees hired before October 1, 2004, it is ‘10005’ followed by five numbers of your Bell ID. For example if the Bell ID is EN78901 then your Textron ID is ‘1000578901’. For employees hired after October 1, 2004 go to IMS on the mainframe, log on using your main frame ID and select screen LOCI6100 and enter your 5-digit Bell ID and hit “enter.”  Immediately below the Bell ID is the Textron ID.  You can also contact HR Textron at 1-866-698-9847.

8. Under Deduction #1
   
   • Type of Change: select ‘Start’
   • Deduction Description: type ‘Leadership Club Dues’
   • Deduction Code: ‘CLUB9’
   • Effective Date: Select ‘Next Payroll’
   • Deduction Rate or %: Leave it blank
   • Flat/Additional Amount: Type ‘$7.00 per month’
   • Goal Amount: Leave it blank
     
     
9. Save a copy on your computer.
10. E-mail the completed form to ‘HRSC@textron.com’ or fax a printed copy to 1-709-757-1849.
11. Check your ‘paystub’ after two weeks to verify that deduction is being made for the Leadership Club. If it is then notify your area Ambassador so that we can start paying the membership dues to the NMA, if not then contact HR Textron at 1-866-698-9847 to correct any problems with the form.
