LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

“Everything rises or falls on leadership.” This quote by leadership expert John Maxwell has never rendered truer than it has in our current economy. Corporations and businesses throughout the world are looking for leaders who can navigate through these tumultuous times. Whether it is a team lead, front line supervisor or CEO, leaders are in demand more than ever.

Leaders attract leaders. With a membership of more than 330 strong, the leadership association’s members include all levels of leadership. Whether participating in one of the many training seminars or attending a BLADE sponsored networking event, members can find themselves interacting with supervisors, managers, directors and Executive VPs from across Bell’s business units. No other association offers its members opportunities like this.

Leaders are selfless. For that reason BLADE members give back to the community. Every year members invest in students by awarding scholarships that are exclusively for members and their family, local schools are sponsored through fund raising support as well as mentoring future leaders. BLADE also supports great organizations like the Red Cross and the March of Dimes.

Leadership is not something achieved, it is a journey. BLADE is the organization for leaders who understand the importance of guarding against stagnation and strive for life long learning.
